Girl, 12, charged with attempted murder

A TEACHER has saved a student from a knife attack by a 12-year-old girl at a school north of Brisbane.
Police say the schoolgirl slashed a fellow student’s neck and hands at Caboolture just after 9am on Monday.

A teacher was able to disarm her and save the victim, also 12, who was left with minor knife wounds.
It’s the second knife attack at a southeast Queensland school in about three weeks.
Last month, a 12-year-old schoolgirl was charged after allegedly stabbing a fellow student in the chest on the Gold Coast.
It’s believed she and the victim, a boy aged 13, got into an argument at Coombabah State High school.
Police haven’t named the Caboolture school where the latest attack happened.
The girl has been charged with attempted murder and will be dealt with under the Youth Justice Act.
