A WOMAN has been arrested for allegedly having sex with her teenage nephew "hundreds of times".
Peggy Phillips, 43, was charged with sexual assault of a child and held in custody on a $30,000 bond payment.
According to court documents, the boy was 15 to 16 years old at the time of the alleged affair which is said to have taken place between 2007 and 2009.
He went to live with Phillips, of Pasadena, Texas, and her husband in South Carolina in 2008 and she is said to have had sex with him "hundreds of times after that inside the house".
The teenager's uncle - who Phillips is no longer married to - is said to have told police that he took the youngster into his home because he was in a "bad situation in South Carolina."
But a few weeks after he moved in things "went south".
The court documents also claim Phillips first assaulted the boy when he was in hospital in 2007, local news station KHOU reports.
She is also accused of sending inappropriate photos and text messages to the teenager.
It is unclear why the charges have been laid now, eight years after the alleged affair.
