A MAN who was denied entry into a bar has been told he couldn’t come in because his shoes are often worn by drug dealers, gang members and other “less than desirable” patrons.

Seb Aylmer went to The Bank bar with three friends after dinner but was turned away by the doorman for wearing his Nike Air Max trainers, despite their popularity with celebrities.
He said: “I thought it had to be a prank.” But it became clear that it wasn’t and the 32-year-old had to trudge home in a huff from the bar in Sydney, Australia.
Furious, he posted on Facebook about his annoyance and wrote a review asking if “they actually had this ban or was it that they didn’t like me or gay people”.

He received a reply from someone working at the bar saying the ban was real and that: “I can honestly guarantee you that almost every single person I’ve caught selling drugs on the premises or has picked a fight has been wearing those shoes.”
