Elderly Woollahra couple found dead in their bed



POLICE are investigating the death of an elderly couple in Sydney’s eastern suburbs this morning.
A man who knew the Woollahra couple but had not seen or heard from them for some time went to check on their welfare this morning and made the discovery.

A resident at the Ocean St apartment block said told the Telegraph the couple may have been there for up to four days before being discovered.
A crime scene was established and police are continuing to make inquiries into the circumstances surrounding the deaths.

The bodies are yet to be identified.
It is too early in the investigation to determine whether they are suspicious or not.
Post mortem examinations will be conducted in coming days to formally identify the pair and determine cause of death.
