BEYONCE and Chris Martin have been friends for a decade. Now they are teaming up for a song on Coldplay’s new album.
The enticing collaboration was revealed as Coldplay announced its seventh studio album, A Head Full of Dreams.
The Guardian reports that the new album will be “bursting with energy, colour and big, life-affirming moments.”
That is in contrast to Ghost Stories, Coldplay’s last album, which many felt was a breakup album following Martin’s split from wife Gwyneth Paltrow.
A Head Full of Dreams also features Noel Gallagher, Tove Lo and Merry Clayton on the eleven-track album which will be released on December 4.
While Coldplay and Beyonce may not seem like a natural fit to collaborate, Martin is a big fan of Beyonce and vice versa.
Paltrow told Howard Stern that the quartet met during a benefit in New York City a decade ago.
“We all became friends ... I normally don’t do that, but [we vibed] in that particular case,” she said. “They’re the greatest people. They are funny and sweet, and self-aware and really intelligent.”
